Mission: I want to organize a baker’s dozen of participants to join me in this year’s Art Parade on September 5. The theme will be cupcakes!
This morning I started the day with a Slim Jim which was left over from the Roanoke trip. This evening I had macaroni and cheese at Florent which is delicious and carb-tastic. I even upgraded by ordering Black Forest Ham with it just to be naughty. Besides, Purim is on Friday.
By the way, I run a cupcake blog with my friends, Allison and Rachel. Last week, we went to Martha’s Country Bakery in Astoria for a cupcake meetup.
I also wrote about cupcakes with fondant icing for NewYorkology and New York Mag’s Grub Street picked up my post for their weekly round-up from the blogs.
After over two years as a weekly show, Carolyn and I decided to make a change. We’re making Chicks and Giggles a monthly show, and Chicks and Giggles is also moving at a new venue. To celebrate, we’re doing a variety show, “Anything But Stand-Up”.
