I’m Not In Love

“I’m not in love, so don’t forget it. It’s just a

silly phase I’m going through…” Do you remember that tune by 10cc?!

This week, there has been a glut of news and magazine articles about love, sex, relationships, etc. because of Valentine’s Day. In my opinion, it’s lazy and irresponsible to dump the love stuff on us in the shortest month of the year. Love happens every minute you breathe. I am hopping on my soapbox to say that’s OK to not be in a relationship, but you don’t have label yourself “quirkyalone” or drown your sorrows in chocolate or ice cream. Get out and notice love. Today, I heard a bird chirping and I smiled because I know that spring is coming soon!

I think I will eat chocolate! Some of the best chocolate is being made in D.U.M.B.O. at Jacques Torres Chocolate at 66 Water Street. There’s a cute little shoppe and you can always shop online if you desire. Sweet!

The Spy Who Loved Me

File this one under shameless self-promotion. I got published in the Agent Provocateur newsletter! I adore Agent Provocateur’s naughty British lingerie and accessories. So I submitted a letter of praise.

Letter from America

“I love Agent Provocateur’s store in Soho. I had a lovely and exciting experience the moment I walked in. I love the rich decor of the store. The sales attendants are very sexy and attentive. I tried on one of the naughty nipple-out bras and matching panties. I looked so damn hot! It was a great thing for me as a woman because trying on clothes in a store has always been a chore for me. I fluctuate between a size 10 or size 12 and I have D-cup boobs; many of the NYC couture fashions don’t fit me properly. I want to thank you guys for being so wonderfully sexy and bringing a fun place to shop or browse to NYC.

My AP fantasy would be to bring my boyfriend there for a little fashion show. He could sit in a chair, as I come out of the dressing room with different lingerie (thongs, chemise, teddy, panties, bras, etc) and donning the required accessories (collars, whip and those pink mules) He’d get so excited that he wants to undress me, and we have a little fling in the dressing room. Plus, he’d buy me thousands of dollars of Agent Provocateur lingerie. (I love the sparkly pink lotion, too!)”

Visit the cute little AP store in Soho (133 Mercer St) or check out the niche inside Henri Bendel’s.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

LADIES

In winter, we tend to stay at home and have fun parties for the Superbowl, the Grammys and the Oscars. Why not have a party and make a little spare cash to spring for your haute couture spring wardrobe? You may read about it in this week’s “Time Out New York“. It’s a bird? It’s a plane! It’s a sex toy party! Safina is a company dedicated to facilitating fun and pleasure with selling sexories. What are sexories? They are lotions, potions, games, vibrators, and toys, etc. They’re better than regular accessories because they’ll always match your purse!

No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn

NEW YORK

Watson Adventures is having a scavenger hunt this Saturday, January 31 at the lovely Brooklyn Museum of Art. Come discover and enjoy the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York’s most underrated museum! During the hunt, you’ll see almost every room in the museum’s five floors, including the new Egyptian gallery, the new exhibition of European art in the stunning Beaux Art court, and the recently reinstalled African and American galleries. This is one of my personal favorites, with lots of variety and very cool period rooms that take you back to colonial America. And fear not, Manhattanites—it’s easy to get there! The 2 and 3 trains stop right in front of the museum. Price: $25, which includes museum admission. Time: 3 to 5:30 PM
